All in a evening gown!

There have been many events lately besides the holidays that have required me to wear and evening gown. As some of you know I am a pageant queen and attending any pageant to support the cause requires and evening gowns for finals. Also there have been a few charity events such as the Legendary Awards and the Georgia Entertainment Gala. All requiring an evening gown. Wouldn’t it be lovely if we had a chance to wear one to other things as an adult.
Pageants are fun to wear evening gowns. You wear suits for interview or judging or a nice dress. Some people wear cocktail dresses. I prefer a gown. Out of respect for the title I hold and the pageant I represent. Also for respect of the queens competing in the pageants. I like looking at the different designers and how they fit smaller figures and the more voluptuous woman. Which have the most bling and sparkle or how high the slit comes. I appreciate a well done gown. I dislike when designers try and make the more voluptuous woman look like a drag queen. Or a thinner woman look like a stripper. Sexy has a place but not on a pageant runway. there is a difference between prom dress and pageant dress.
I love dressing in an evening gown for black tie charity events. I think it adds a special note to the evening. I also like volunteering at several events to help with registration or hosting so I feel like I did my part and not just to raise money. Some charities and organizations that are dear to me are the Legendary Awards that bring awareness to the America Diabetes Association, The Georgia Entertainment Gala which supports the arts here in Georgia. Another charity organization I live which doesn’t have a black tie event yet is DrawChange. I will have to help them work on that.
I would wear and evening gown to run errands. Grocery store shopping would be interesting. Running to the bank. Or maybe running to the post office. Think of the way it will make people think you have other things to do but took special time to stop by their place dressed up in an evening gown such as “You are the best grocery store ever and when I come here I feel like I need to dress up for this”, or “You are the best cleaners around and I wanted to make sure I dressed to come and visit and drop off more clothes and let you see what a fabulous job you did on this dress”. The possibilities are endless.
I think there needs to be more occasions for evening wear.
