January MMA Fight Night – Wild Bill’s

Our friends at Wild Bill’s know how to have a good Fight!

Friday Night, Jan 27th, 2012 was once again a thrilling night. Eight bouts of great action. Some of the bouts where over quick (35 seconds to be exact) and the main event went down to undisputed (29-28) decision.

Door opened for fight night at 7:30 and first fight actually started about 9PM. And of course we always have to visit my favorite hot bartender Geoff Kirby (he is at the middle level bar for those who want to go see him). We at PrimetimeX Magazine were lucky enough to have VIP tickets, which if and when you can purchase them, please do. In the VIP area, we had the food from Hooters and other vendors and it is so worth the price of the ticket. Plus, helps if you want to get “your drink on”, they have plenty to eat. Our seats on the floor, near the ring ,were amazing. You can see the intense look on each of the fighters faces before they enter the ring. Hot Bartenders in Atlanta

Every once in awhile you come across a bartender who you fall in love with. Good service and good drinks and nice to look at. Our first choice for PrimetimeX is Geoff Kirby.

Geoff can be seen regularly at Wild Bill’s. He is hot to look at and very nice too which is an added bonus. Huge flirt is also a bonus for his fabulous personality. We took some time to get to know Geoff and here are his responses….

Friday Night Fights! Wild Bills Fight Night 40

Ok, so I can say I have watched fights on TV but only professional boxing and UFC fighting but never an MMA(Mixed Marital Arts) fight. Friday night I went to see amateur and professional MMA fights. One fight was a Muay Thai fight at this event. Not sure about the rules and names of moves but I know a good fight when I see one. I may be a novice at this sport but we all have a competitive side of us when it comes to seeing raw competition.

They has many sponsors at this fight like Hooters, Sports Medicine – Jeff Traub, M.D., Comcast Channel 1, USA Entertainment, Yuengling beer, Steve Mudder’s Full Throttle Entertainment, Inc, David Oblas Undisputed Productions, LLC, and including Wild Bill’s. Hooter’s babes did double duty with server’s in the VIP room and ring girls. There were lots of vendor booths from local fighting clubs, gyms and charities.

So on Friday night I went to Wild Bill’s, near Gwinnett Mall and saw several matches of MMA fighting. Six amateur and three pro fights were on the ticket. The amateur fights were interesting but I wanted to see more combat of kicking and boxing and so much of it was the wrestling aspect of it and it drove me insane. If I am going to see a fight I want to see a fight. But the bouts that had the girls and professional did not leave me disappointed. There were a lot more punches, throw downs, and kicks landed.

One bout in particular made me stand up and take notice more than others. Josh Cook v. Shea Taylor. Impressive to say the least in that Shea Taylor (interview coming soon) lost his leg last year in a motor cycle accident and this was his first bout after his rehabilitation. He wore his prosthetic leg in the match. The match had to be stopped by the referee to reattach the leg once but then the fight went on andTaylorwon by a tap out. Courage, tenacity, and determination is the very least that can be said aboutTaylor.

Next fight night is scheduled for November 5th. Doors open at 7:30 fight should start around 9. For women it is nice to view the fight and scenery, beefy boys galore. And if you have any testosterone in you at all you will get pumped up. And for men it is pure male testosterone at its finest, men and women fighting. Half naked ring girls and bar cow girls. Who could ask for more on a Friday night?
